About Gods & Myths
Gods & Myths is the mythology journal of the Pantheon app — an encyclopedia of world mythology covering eight pantheons. Every article follows the same editorial policy:
Editorial policy
- Ancient sources first. Every myth names where it comes from — the Eddas, Hesiod, the Pyramid Texts, not “some say.”
- Version differences are the point. When Hesiod and Homer disagree, or Saxo rewrites an Edda story, we say so. Rivals smooth this over; it is our sharpest edge.
- No invented lore. If a detail is uncertain, it is cut — never padded, never guessed.
- Living traditions with respect. Hindu mythology and other living faiths are covered as belief, not curiosity.
- No copied text. Everything here is written fresh for this site.
